Terms & Conditions
PRICES
Lesson prices are as published on the website allerdrive.co.uk and are subject to change.
Payment is by cash or cheque payable to N P Reynolds on the day or in advance. On no account will credit be given. Please ensure that you have the money at the start of your lesson. Advance payment can also be made by bacs bank transfer.
DURATION OF LESSONS
Standard lessons last one hour door to door unless otherwise agreed. However, after the first 5 lessons, most pupils opt for 1½ hour lessons. Please advise your instructor at least one hour before your lesson if your pick up or drop off point is going to be different to normal. This may also result in your lesson time having to be shortened to avoid disruption to other pupils. If you are not at the pick-up location within 10 minutes of the start of your lesson, the Instructor will not wait any longer, but the lesson fee must still be paid in full.
CANCELLATION
Please give as much notice as possible as this minimises disruption to the instructor and makes the lesson space available for other pupils. Remember too that missing lessons will slow down your progress in learning to drive and you may lose your regular lesson slot. The following will apply for cancelled lessons in all cases:
Failure to attend – full lesson price. Notification less than 2 hours in advance – full lesson price. Notification between 2 and 24 hours before lesson £10
COURSES
You will be given a structured course of lessons, tailored to your individual needs. Our aim is to help you to be a good, safe driver and to pass your test. Please do not book your test until your Instructor feels you are ready. The DVSA requires that Instructors do not allow people to sit the test if they are not ready for it.
PUPIL RESPONSIBILITIES
You may not have lessons while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. You must advise your instructor of any points on your licence or pending court cases. If you need glasses or contact lenses you must make sure that you wear them. If you have any special needs that may affect your driving or your learning, please advise your instructor.
DRIVING TESTS
When you book your test, please book for Workington Test Centre and quote ADI Number 192264. Failure to do so may mean that your test needs to be rescheduled. In addition to the Driving Test Fee you will need to pay £60 on the day to your Instructor for use of the car. This covers a 1 hour lesson before the test, use of the car for the test itself, a debrief at the end of the test with your Instructor and getting back home after the test. If your test is at a different test centre to Workington a higher fee will arise. At least two weeks before your test we will arrange a mock test with you and this will require a double lesson. Note - I am not available for Saturday tests or tests before 9.00am. You are responsible for notifying your instructor of the correct date/time etc of your test.
If the test is cancelled at short notice by the DVSA for reasons other than adverse weather, the full £60 is payable. This is normally reclaimable by the pupil from the DVSA. It is the pupil’s responsibility to ensure that in the event of bad weather, they call the test centre 01900 63214 to find out if the test is going ahead.
